I bought a Touch Pro 2 not long after being released. 16 months and 13 days. (HTC warrants for 15 months) after the warranty expired, the touch screen stopped working. You cannot control the phone through the keyboard. HTC's only answer was to charge me $200 to look at it. I refused and wrote to the President (Chou). After two attempts he responded and said that it was being referred. Someone called me and said that they would investigate. They never responded. After two more attempts, they remained silent. I now have a HTC MyTouch 3G. It has now gone bad. These phones are crap and HTC knows this. They do not care about the consumer and intends to do nothing. Neither of these phones have been dropped or immersed in liquid. Once more big business makes "suckers" of the average consumer. Do not buy these phones. They are costly and HTC will not support them.

HTC fix something? Not from my experience.

I sent my S743 phone into HTC for repairs and it came back 22 days later with a broken camera and the motherboard of a S740.

Then I sent it back and it came back with another S740 motherboard, a replaced screen (with a fingerprint on it) and a European keyboard.

Then after another week of complaining over the phone with them I sent it in again - this time they called me and told me they NEVER ORDERED the parts for the S743 and would have to order them from Taiwan!!!

To make a long story shorter I called and spoke with an assistant to the VP, got a new phone from them and this one has a manufacturing defect that has already cut me once - keyboard was installed lopsided.

Now I'm talking with them again to get this phone replaced.

Annoying to say the least. I have had owned this phone for less than 4 months and been without it for nearly 2 months.
