After a lot of waiting, my Archos 101 Tablet has finally arrived – with special thanks to Judie Stanford from Gear Diary. The Archos Android based tablet with a 10.1 inch widescreen has been a pretty hard item to get your hands on. Running Android 2.1, this little wonder is packed full of goodness. It sports a front facing camera, HD video out, MicroSD expansion, 3.5″ headphone jack, USB and MicroUSB ports, a kickstand, and just 12mm thick. In the following video, I unbox the Archos and give you a quick tour of the hardware. The plan is to use this as my primary device here at CES and beyond. So stay tuned as I will be posting a lot more about this device in the not too distant future!

Once I promised my 2G touch to my wife I got the green light to run out and get a new Apple iPod touch 4G! My biggest justification would be for the camera but mostly it’s bragging rights with all the others Dad’s at my kids’ schools. Reason enough, right?!?!

The newest iPod touch shares it’s styling much more with the previous touch models rather than with the new iPhone 4. Other than the styling, and of course lack of cellular, the touch 4G (do they even call it the 4G??) shares most of the new toys from the iPhone 4. You get the great Retina display and the front and rear facing cameras, allowing for Facetime calling.

Overall, a nice upgrade. I’ll get lots of use out of this, but I do have to say I’m a bit bored with iOS4 already.

BTW, this is the Canadian version. No, there’s no difference. I’m just sayin’.

Virgin Mobile and it’s parent company Bell, have launched the HTC Legend with North American 3G frequencies. Until now, if you live in the US or Canada and wanted the Legend, your only choice was the European version but with that version you never get the nice 3G speeds. Now that Virgin and Bell have launched a North American version, you can enjoy the device and the super fast 3G network that goes along with it. It appears that the only difference between the Virgin Mobile Legend and Bell’s Legend is $50 of your hard earned cash. So with that, I picked up the Virgin Mobile edition today and shot this unboxing video. Take a look and let me know if you have any questions. A more detailed review of the Legend will be coming along soon!
