CES 2013 – Huawei Unveils the Ascend D2 Smartphone

While not on the super large scale of Huawei’s Ascend Mate, their Ascend D2 is still what many would consider large. The flagship Ascend D2 offers a 5 inch display with 443 pixels per inch and a resolution of 1920 x 1080! You’ll also find a 13 megapixel camera, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, with a hearty 3000 mAh battery.

And to help toughen up the phone for the everyday user, Huawei has added water and dust resistant. Just how dust and water resistant? Well, Huawei is using the IPX scale and claiming a 5 for dust and a 4 for water. That means dust and other particles will not interfere with the workings of the device, and it can withstand splashing water from any direction for a period of 10 minutes.

No price or availability information was shared, other than January for the China market.
