Pre-Order Starts Today for Windows 8 Pro and New Windows 8 Systems

Beginning today, stores and online retailers have started taking pre-orders for Windows 8. New systems – like the IdeaPad Yoga 13 that we reported on yesterday, along with many more from other manufacturers, can be pre-ordered from your favorite retailers. But don’t expect delivery until October 26 at the earliest.

In case you’re not looking for a new system, you can also pre-order the Windows 8 Upgrade. The special pre-order cost of a physical DVD upgrade is $69.99. Regular list price for a full version will be $199.99. If you don’t care about the physical DVD, you can wait until October 26 and there will be an online upgrade for just $39.99. Of course, there is still the option where you might have already purchased a new computer after June 2nd, and are looking to upgrade. In that case, you are eligible to purchase an upgrade for only $14.99 from the site.

Head over to your favorite retailer and reserve your new computer or upgrade copy today! I’m so very tempted to pre-order that Yoga 13. :-)
