The 2012 Summer Olympics kick off this Friday in London, and unlike previous games, today’s world is increasingly reliant on mobile access to news and data. In the past, I’ve used RSS feeds, and mobile browser to try and stay up to speed on the medal counts. This time around, things are a little different thanks to the official London 2012 Results app.
The free download can be found in the iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone app stores. So it doesn’t matter what phone you have, you can stay on top of the action. Get live updates, schedules, medal counts, and even athlete profiles on your phone where ever you are. The cool feature for me, is that you can set your preferred country, and then the app will notify you when a medal is awarded to that country.
If that doesn’t quench your thirst for Olympic news on the go, you might want to look into a SlingBox or some other way to stream all the goodness live to your mobile device.
