Samsung Gives Canadians Ice Cream Sandwich

If you have a Samsung Galaxy device, you’ll be happy to hear that Samsung has just announced the availability of Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. Android 4.0, better known as Ice Cream Sandwich brings a fresh look and feel to Android. ICS brings a new user interface, improved multi-tasking, notifications, WiFi Hotspot, improved web browsing, and Face Unlock. Samsung has made this available today, however the actual scheduling of the upgrade and availability for your device will vary based on the market and your wireless carriers requirements. Hopefully the carriers will move quickly to get these updates out to the customer in a timely fashion.

The list of supported Galaxy devices is pretty impressive – S II, S II LTE, S II, LTE HD, S II X, Note, Tab 7, Tab 7 Plus, Tab 8.9 and the Tab 10.1. Let us know if you get the update and of course, share your thoughts on how you like the new features. :)

Are the lower end Galaxy phones getting the update too? Like the Samsung Galaxy Y, Galaxy Ace, Galaxy 580 and Galaxy 5. If not, then Samsung being the first manufacturer to bring an Ice Cream Sandwich phone to the market is showing the step motherly treatment to its humble users.
